Chapter 73
Chapter 73. Heart-Pounding Summer Vacation!
The water droplets that trickled down the black hair that was flowing over his straight forehead passed over his sharp jaw and pooled in his sunken collarbone. The overflowing water droplets eventually flowed down the man’s chest and disappeared into the sea.
Henelone’s eyes, which had been following the path with hazy eyes, turned back again.
A thick, copper-colored chest, straight shoulders, and a protruding Adam’s apple. A sharp, angular jawline, and wide, open lips with a cool smile. His hand extended toward her.
“Come here.”
He looks like a vicious mermaid who seduces and devours people.
Henelone thought as she stared at the man who was shining with splendid vitality, in water under the blazing sun.
He was a man who shined alone no matter where he was, but the blue sea suited him best. Heinz on land was nothing compared to now.
Henelone, who had her mouth wide open in a daze due to the thirst tickling her throat, slowly reached out to the man. As she wrapped her extended fingertips around his hand, the man’s strong arms wrapped around her waist and pulled her into the water.
Splash!
Her body hit the cold seawater and the water surged.
The water surge created waves to ripple. Henelone, who did not close her eyes even though the bubbles obscured her vision, looked at Heinz’s face through the foam.
The rays of light scattered and dazzled the man’s face.
His red eyes filled with affectionate warmth held her straight. Henelone, who looked at her figure submerged in the sea, slowly closed her eyes and hugged his neck. Their bodies, tightly intertwined, were sinking deep into the deep sea.
Even if she were to die, she wouldn’t be able to let him go.
“Puha!”
Henelone, who had stuck her head out of the water as the hand pulled her up to the surface, took a deep breath.
When the salty seawater stung her and she couldn’t open her eyes, the large hand that had been sweeping her messily w*t hair and wiped away the water that had dripped down.
She blinked repeatedly in her blurry vision, but the man’s hand that had been caressing her moist cheeks cupped them and kissed her deeply.
Henelone also closed her eyes tightly and hugged Heinz’s neck as the kiss was so passionate that her swollen lips were crushed.
When the lips that he had sucked hard parted, Heinz, who had pressed his forehead against Henelone’s round one, muttered in a daze.
“…Oh my. I thought it would be okay to die like this.”
“Ahaha!”
Henelone burst into laughter at the man’s muttering.
She had the same thought for a split second. It was so funny and lovely that she couldn’t stop laughing.
Heinz also laughed out loud, showing his teeth, at the sight of Henelone laughing and shaking her body.
“Watch out for the bottom.”
After a long moment of laughter, Heinz, who was leisurely swimming while leading Henelone to the rocky island, turned his head and warned her. She wondered what kind of bottom there was in this deep sea, but soon a hard bottom touched her feet.
As they stepped forward, the seawater that had been lapping at the tip of her neck went down to her chest, waist, and knees.
“Wow……!”
In an instant, Henelone, who had stood tall in the middle of the vast ocean, turned around and looked at the endless horizon, exclaiming in admiration. Walking on the sea, her heart pounded as if she had become an outsider.
“This area is full of reefs that rise high above the sea level.”
“Oh, so that’s why you anchored the yacht far away.”
“Yeah. Otherwise, it would have been torn apart by the yacht.”
Henelone followed her gaze and looked forward, opening her mouth and raising her head. She had thought it was just a tall rock, but upon closer inspection, she saw that it was a ship that had been wrecked by the reef.
The tip of the ship was high enough to give an idea of its former size, even though it was cut in half. Henelone tilted her head with a puzzled expression.
The mermaid sculpture decorated on the tip of the ship looked somehow familiar.
A female mermaid with her arms wrapped around her crouching body. The subtle posture that seemed to embrace something precious or protect itself from external threats bothered her.
However, her mind began to ache because she couldn’t remember anything clearly. In the end, Henelone gave up on recalling and asked Heinz with blank eyes.
“What is this?”
Heinz opened his mouth with a smirk as he watched Henelone staring intently at the mermaid-shaped bow with unreadable eyes.
“The first ship I rode.”
“Is that your first time?”
Henelone, who opened her eyes wide at Heinz’s words, looked at the half-broken ship again. It was covered in moss and barnacles. It was badly corroded, but it was not difficult to guess the shape of the ship.
The ship, which had split in two and lost its stern, was not a battleship.
“It looks like a cruise ship…”
“Yes, a cruise ship. I was a young oarsman of the lowest class.”
“An oarsman…?”
Henelone, who was surprised, looked back and forth between the old ship and Heinz, and opened her mouth. Should she comfort him? But, can she sympathize with his past? Heinz looked at Henelone, who was at a loss and floundering, and smiled silently.
“Don’t you remember?”
