Chapter 62
Chapter 62. Heart-Pounding Summer Vacation!
Who the hell is this woman? Who is she to come up to me and ask about my relationship with Heinz?
On the way to Port Berner, after a brief conversation, she couldn’t even meet Heinz, let alone talk to him. A strangeness suddenly appeared in Henelone’s eyes as she looked at the woman with her slightly shaking eyes.
“By any chance, in that carriage……?”
“That’s right. That carriage. That’s where I was riding.”
The woman with brightly shining eyes raised the corners of her mouth and smiled. But her dark blue eyes were as cold as the night sea, looking at Henelone. Henelone, her face set in her cool eyes, took a step behind her and opened her mouth.
“I don’t think I have any reason to answer.”
On the contrary, she felt like asking a question.
What is your identity? What is your relationship with Heinz? Why did you come down with him, escorted by him?
The cocktail that was warming her stomach seemed to be bubbling. Her blue eyes, which had been shaking slightly with embarrassment, cooled down just as much as Marie Jose’s.
“What is it with you, Miss Marie-Jose, that you are so rude to me?”
Marie-Jose, who did not lose her smile despite the sharp question, shrugged her shoulders.
“Well, do I really need to answer?”
The hand holding her glass tightened. But it seemed that only Henelone was agitated. Marie-Jose, who had lifted herself off the railing with a frown, turned around, gently waving her hand.
“I enjoyed our conversation, Lady Henelone.”
Her heart began to beat anxiously.

‘This year’s summer vacation is the absolute worst!’
Henelone bit her chapped lip with an anxious face and buried her face on the sofa. Her damp hair was cold against her thin slip, but she didn’t even think about drying it.
Henelone stood there, unable to move a single step, until Milena, exhausted from her play, came up to her second deck to find her.
Silver hair and dark blue eyes shining brightly under the moonlight. This was because her dazzlingly beautiful face and Marie-Jose’s unpleasantly harsh words kept haunting her.
She was already so nervous, but she felt like her solar plexus was tingling at the thought of getting off the ship and going all the way to Duke Woodward’s mansion.
“Haaaa….”
Henelone raised her head, rested her chin on her knees, and let out a deep sigh. The crackling log fire was warming the air, but her body was growing cold.
‘I’d rather look for another accommodation.’
But even that seemed inconvenient to her. She doubted whether she would be able to find decent lodging, as many people from not only the empire but also neighboring countries would travel to Brenicke. Henelone pursed her lips. Her face was hard, and her eyes closed.
At this point, she was almost resentful of Heniz. Did he already have another woman to share her vacation with? Then why did he ask her to go with him? If not, why didn’t he say anything?
“Uh…..”
Am I too nervous? Her stomach began to ache.
When she opened her eyes, wiping the sweat from her forehead, she saw a wall with no windows on all sides. There was clearly a wood fire burning in front of her eyes, but her vision was slowly darkening, like a fire going out.
‘Ah, why am I like this….’
The wall that blocked everything began to slowly move and become narrower in her mind. There was enough space for her to lie down, but it felt like the space was already pressing down on Henelone’s body.
She felt like she was trapped in a very narrow wine barrel. She felt sick and broke into a cold sweat.
“Ugk…!”
Henelone, who hurriedly covered her mouth as if she was going to vomit at any moment, got up in a hurry and opened the door to the guest room. She opened the door to go into a more open space, but what she saw before her eyes was a very narrow and long hallway with no end in sight.
‘Go out to the deck…’
Henelone, covering her mouth with one of her hands, staggered her steps.
Meanwhile, the narrow hallway was pressing down on her body. As she was struggling with her arms and legs in the overly long hallway, there was a click, the sound of her door opening, and Henelone’s body was sucked somewhere.
The cool sea breeze enveloped her body. Henelone slowly lifted her tightly closed eyes as the scent of jasmine wafted through her.
Flowers soaked in sea water.
It was a very familiar scent.
“…Nhn, haa… Heniz…?”
Although she could not see anything because she was tightly held in his large arms, the pressure that had been bothering Henelone volatilized in an instant. She hesitantly lifted her head and saw Heinz’s face looking down at her with his worried eyes.
“I’m sorry if I startled you.”
His rough fingertips rubbed Henelone’s damp forehead. Heinz, startled by the cold sweat she was soaking in, took a step back and looked at Henelone’s face. The face, which had gone from white to pale blue, looked unusual.
“Were you very surprised? Your complexion is so bad.”
“…No, I just… I guess I drank too much…”
“How much….. Let’s sit down first.”
Heinz, holding the staggering Henelone, walked with long strides to the sofa and sat down. She was a little embarrassed by the sight of herself on his lap, but her upset stomach was gradually calming down as she felt his firm hand firmly supporting her back. However, her thoughts were still as complicated as before.
‘With that woman…’
