Salvation Isn’t for Just Anybody
Esdel, the only daughter of Reinhardt County.
This is what the world said of her:
A lovely young lady with rose-tinted cheeks, silver hair that shimmered in the sunlight, and a countenance that shined even brighter.
Her tendency to be aloof and easily bored was her only small flaw, but when a rare smile graced her expressionless face, she looked like an angel.
Her only trouble in the world was a horde of unremarkable suitors.
However, after a murderer proposed to her amidst a sea of blood on her mansion’s doorstep, her life was turned completely upside down.
Monsters of unknown origin invaded her domain.
A friend she thought would be by her side forever died, and her people and knights were harmed.
Yet no one knew what these monsters were.
No one, that is, except for the murderer who had proposed at her door.
“I will accept that dreadful proposal of yours, so please protect my county. With everything you have.”
“I will. Please marry me, Esdel Elizabeth Reinhardt.”
Esdel was determined to protect everything within her territory.
Even if it meant offering herself as a sacrifice in a marriage to a suspicious man.
But as her journey to uncover the monsters’ identity continues, a situation different from what she had prepared for unfolds.
The man, Theodore, who calmly helps Esdel as if he had foreseen everything.
What in the world does he know, and what is he thinking?
And what, exactly, are these feelings she is developing for him?
