Alice Boucher, the first female graduate of medical school. On the day she was about to choose suicide due to discrimination and financial struggles, her mentor’s fiancée barged in asking for help. Faced with a large reward, Alice heads to the suspicious rural village of “Reki” to repay her mentor’s kindness.
The villagers live by the strange rules set by their chief; they are all kind but carry an unsettling vibe. Professor Nathan fears the village yet refuses to leave, saying, “If I leave here, I will die.”
