Chapter 0: Prologue
Prologue
On a night when the moonlight was especially bright, a girl, her face veiled in black, crouched low and ran through the shadows, her feet stepping lightly between them.
“Huff, huff…”
What could she possibly be running from, so desperately?
The girl gasped for breath, constantly scanning her surroundings with wary eyes. And then,
“Kuhng, kuhng!”
The sound of a dog barking ripped through the stillness of the night air. In the direction of the noise, a fierce-looking dog appeared, its body surrounded by black flames that flickered like a mirage.
“Kuhng!”
With a savage snarl, the dog bared its sharp teeth and charged at the girl.
“Eek!”
The girl couldn’t hold back any longer and screamed in terror.
But in that moment,
Lick!
The dog, which had been barreling toward her with a menacing growl, suddenly transformed into the most docile, harmless pet imaginable. The girl froze in disbelief, unable to comprehend the bizarre turn of events.
How could this possibly be happening?
All of this began three days ago, with a minor clash that spiraled into something far beyond her understanding.
