Contrary to expectations, even as Ashaella’s pregnancy entered its ninth month, Hadel’s morning sickness did not stop.
While he was barely sustaining himself on minimal food, one day Hadel suddenly said he wanted roast chicken.
“Your Majesty! The Empress is—!”
Ashaella’s labor had begun.
“Warm water! Bring more warm water!”
“Towels! Clean towels!”
“We need more water!”
“I said bring towels here!”
In the bustling garden of the Ruby Palace, Hadel was gnawing on his lips.
His anxious pacing had no destination; he simply circled the garden over and over.
“Is—is it not time yet?”
“Please calm down, Your Majesty.”
“Teiman, go check on the situation!”
“Even if you say that… they won’t let me in.”
“You useless—!”
Teiman felt wronged by Hadel’s harsh words, but he was just as anxious this time.
“I’ll go in and see.”
“What? No, I’m telling you we can’t enter! Rahu!”
Teiman grabbed Rahu, who was heading toward the interior of the palace with a hardened expression, and sighed.
On one side, Hadel was pacing frantically; on the other, Rahu kept repeating the same action as if he couldn’t hear anything being said.
“This is truly maddening…”
Only with the Empress present would there be any control.
It was a moment when everyone wished for the child to be born soon.

Everyone’s movements froze as if by magic. Hadel, Teiman, Rahu, and all the attendants and ladies-in-waiting blinked as they looked toward the same place.

And with the cry that resounded again, the first to rush in was Hadel.
“Asha!”
On that day, when powerful cries echoed throughout the Ruby Palace and beyond to the entire imperial palace, Hadel designated a new national holiday to celebrate the birth of the imperial princess.
“We’ll call it the Day of Happiness.”
It was proclaimed as a national holiday not simply as the imperial princess’s birthday, but as the “Day of Happiness” because the entire empire was happy because of her birth.
