Chapter 38
Chapter 38
Tak!
All of Idina’s actions stopped in an instant. However, a long candlestick was still inserted into the hole.
‘What is that sound…?’
Idina gasped and looked back at where the sound had come from. It was the window. The moment she looked, the sound rang again.
Tak!
She saw something hit the window and fell. Idina, who was frozen in surprise, hurriedly pulled the candlestick out of her body.
The v*ginal fl*id that had been entangled in the candlestick, dripped down.
With trembling hands, she pulled up the chemise that had been lowered to below her chest. Slowly approached the window, she hid her trembling fingers with her other hand. Then something hit the window again.
Tak!
For a moment, what caught her eye was a rock. It couldn’t have been falling from the sky, so someone must have been intentionally throwing rocks at her window.
Idina panicked and walked closer to the window, her legs trembling. Someone might have thrown rocks again, so she didn’t open the window. But she went closer to the window sill and looked down at the bottom of the window.
“……Lilles?”
Idina looked over the wall from her room window and was shocked. The one who was throwing rocks at her room right now was Lilles. What on earth was he doing?
Idina frowned, not knowing what was going on. Then, just as the stone flew and fell again, she opened the window.
Then, she saw Lilles, who had found another stone, try to throw it again but hesitate.
Idina stared at him for a moment, dumbfounded by his actions. Lilles was also staring at her silently.
A moment later, instead of shouting loudly, Lilles sent a signal for her to come out.
<Lilles, that bastard must be waiting for you.>
Killian’s words lingered in her ears. He seemed to be a prophet.

After tidying up the traces on the bed and on her body, Idina put a shawl over her chemise. She opened the door to the mansion.
The night air was a little chilly, so her shoulders trembled. Nonetheless, she thought it wouldn’t be a problem since she would be back soon after finishing her business.
Creakkk.
The old gate, as old as the history of the Bride family, was gently pushed open by Idina’s strength.
Closing the gate again, she headed toward where Lilles had been standing. After walking a little along the fence, she soon saw him.
As soon as Lilles came into view, Idina pulled her shawl closer. Her body was very sensitive because she had just come out from m*sturbating. She absolutely could not let Lilles find out about this.
“What’s going on?”
Idina called him from more than ten steps away, deliberately trying to hide the fact that her legs were trembling subtly.
“Idina.”
It was deep in the night when everyone was asleep. It was almost midnight, and they, not lovers, were having a secret meeting.
He tried to approach Idina as soon as he found her, but Idina backed away and kept her guard up.
“Say it from there. I’ll ask again. What’s going on?”
“…….”
Lilles looked as if he was a little shocked by Idina’s attitude. She didn’t know why he was making that face, but Idina didn’t let her guard down.
She stared at Lilles, who couldn’t open his mouth. She didn’t want to give him too much time, so she counted to ten inwardly and opened her mouth again.
“If you have no business, I’ll go back.”
And when she was about to turn around, Lilles opened her mouth hurriedly.
“Our e-engagement.”
“…..?”
Idina looked at him with suspicion as he brought up a topic that had passed. It had only been two days since their engagement was broken off, but it had been quite some time since he had declared it.
And since his family had officially sent a vassal, Idina had thought that everything was settled.
But when the word “engagement” came out of his mouth again, Idina couldn’t help but feel suspicious.
But he bit his lips several times and finished the sentence after a long time.
“…..Can’t we cancel?”
“What?”
“I said I wanted to cancel the broken engagement.”
Cancel the broken engagement?
Cancel the engagement, nullify the marriage. She has heard these kinds of word combinations many times, but this is the first time she heard this combination. Cancel the broken engagement.
Idina gave Lilles a look that said, “Are you crazy?” She didn’t know what he ate for dinner, but he was talking nonsense right now.
Besides, it wasn’t Idina who brought up the idea of a breakup, it was him. When Idina kept her mouth shut and didn’t answer, Lilles rolled his eyes. It seemed like he wasn’t ready.
He kept sighing and swallowing his words as he tried to start talking. Idina, feeling frustrated, finally said something.
“You said you met a woman who was prettier and had better conditions than me? Why, that woman say she doesn’t like you anymore?”
As she spoke, Idina thought it was understandable. Even if the title of being the son of a duke was nice, he was a shallow person who had no dignity as a noble.
“That….”
Lilles froze, barely able to utter a single word as if he was speechless. The dark night did not allow for a clear view of his expression, but he was unlike anything Idina had ever seen before.
