Chapter 15
Chapter 15
Idina’s heart was pounding like mad.
With her heat cycle in full swing, the Alpha before her was dangerously close to slipping into a rut.
Had he come here knowing exactly what kind of state she was in?
As the question swirled in her mind, the man—his arms still wrapped tightly around her—lowered his head and murmured softly above her:
“I thought something was… unusual.”
Idina held her breath and looked up at him. Then, cautiously, she whispered, “I… I’ll leave now.”
If he hadn’t been exposed to her pheromones for long, maybe it wasn’t too late. Maybe he’d be fine.
But despite her words, he didn’t move. His arms stayed firm around her, holding her in place.
“I’ve been sensing strong pheromones from you for a while now.”
“…Are you saying you followed me on purpose?”
The realization struck her. He must’ve followed her the moment she left the banquet hall.
There was no way this could be a coincidence.
The Alpha replied, not with a direct answer—but a question.
“Why do you think I asked you to dance?”
“…”
“If you had your first dance with another Alpha while in this state… what do you think would’ve happened?”
“You’re an Alpha too,” she shot back, her voice sharp.
“Of course,” he said, with a slow, self-assured smile. “But I’m confident I’m better than the rest.”
His tone wasn’t boastful—it was matter-of-fact, like someone stating something he knew to be true.
Idina frowned, irritated by his calm arrogance.
The man, still cloaked in darkness, stared down at her—his gaze steady, unshaken—even as she gasped for breath in his hold.
She was an Omega in the throes of heat. Yet he remained completely composed. And strangely… the amount of pheromones he gave off hadn’t changed.
“…You,” she said, hesitating. “I have a question.”
He tilted his head slightly. “Go on.”
“Are you… an Omega?”
The question hung in the air.
She had caught the subtle shift in his scent—different from what she expected of an Alpha.
Alpha pheromones usually had a clean, refreshing base. But his… his were something else. Deeper. Warmer. Laced with something undeniably seductive.
She had assumed he was an Alpha from the start.
But this scent… This was the kind of scent only an Omega could have.
Had she been wrong about him all along?
But the man laughed at her question—like she’d just told him the most amusing story in the world.
“Haha… no way. I’m definitely an Alpha.”
“Then I’ll just go, quickly—!”
Idina tried to speak, to pull away, to escape.
But before she could finish her sentence, he reached up and cupped her face with both hands.
And in the next breath—Ah.
Her lips were captured.
Soft. Warm. Unrelenting.
Her cheeks were already flushed, her breath ragged and hot. The Alpha stole it all—the heat, the air, the hesitation—devouring her lips without warning, as if he’d been waiting for this moment.
It was a rather intense kiss, as if he wanted to pay back to her for stealing his kiss on the dance floor earlier.
His tongue entered and instantly w*t Idina’s mouth. When it touched the tender flesh inside, Idina let out a faint moan. They barely knew each other, but the seductive alpha in front of her continued to kiss her skillfully.
Haa, ha.
Even if she tried to escape, she couldn’t even because she was already caught in his grasp. Idina trembled helplessly at the sensations he gave her.
He didn’t touch her anywhere else, but the heat that started from their lips quickly spread throughout her body. Maybe it was due to the aftereffects of the heat cycle.
Realizing that she was getting aroused rapidly, her neck turned red and the strange feeling arose in her stomach.
She had reached her limit as an omega.
All these times, Idina had been enduring the heat cycle alone in her own room. Even though she was an omega, dealing with her rut cycles, she was naturally not allowed to enjoy a debaucherous life before marriage. Since she was a woman of noble birth.
The noble alphas often called betas or even omegas to stablise their pheromones for their rut. But when the omegas did that, they were criticized.
However, that’s not why Idina hadn’t been doing that all along.
It wasn’t because she was afraid of being pointed at. It was because the actions felt meaningless.
And unlike Alphas, Omegas didn’t suffer from side effects so severe that they would go insane even if they endured it alone.
So this was the first time she had encountered an Alpha man during her heat cycle.
Maybe it was because of the Alpha’s pheromones, but her body felt hotter than usual.
“Uh, hm…….”
Moaning without realizing it, the Alpha slowly pulled away, perhaps noticing Idina’s reaction.
“…….”
“……”
And an awkward wall of silence was created between them. Idina bit her lips, which were w*t with someone else’s saliva. She looked up at the Alpha in front of her.
It was dark, and her blurry vision wasn’t helping. Maybe she had tears in her eyes. He gently placed his thumb on her eye and wiped her faint tears.
“As expected, it looks much more urgent than I thought.”
“…….”
“How does the one interpret this situation? I’m here with the person who accepted my proposal in front of everyone.”
“You….”
Wasn’t it a serious proposal to begin with?
However, the alpha in front of her acted as if he would decide everything here ‘if he wanted to’.
It might have been a decision that would involve risking her life. If she had s*x here and this man abandoned Idina, she might really be kicked out of the family.
